F.A.Q.

The best way to ask a question is to use the Support Center link as questions are rarely duplicated.
1)  I only want to use this for 1 day.  Can I do that? No, the minimum is 1 month.
5)  Is Younicycle available in other languages? For the various menus and built-in Tools - not yet, though that is high on our list of goals.  Be aware that the GYRE uses UTF-8.  Set your Language Toolbar & begin typing.  Tables will also accept other 'languages'.
2)  I don't want to have my site hosted here.  Are there alternatives? Yes.  You can create a site here and transfer to a different server - though DB and CMS functionality will be lost.  You can also buy the Younicycle Server Package and host yourself - or find a different host that is willing to accomodate your request.
3)  I don't want to work online.  Is there an alternative?See # 2 above.
4)  I want to try this with Amazon (or whatever) Cloud.  How can I do that? You need the Younicycle Server Package.
6)  Can I add my own PHP, CSS, JS, XML?Yes.  Be aware we are runnung Php 5.3.  Editors are provided for PHP, CSS, JS.  In addition, JQuery is built-in.
7)  Is created content 'portable'?In most instances, yes.  You can export nearly every type of object to your desktop.  The comprehensive 'bundler' for all objects (SaaS Manager), allows you to package all selected content and have it run as it did within your own account.  However, to install a Package, the other party will need either an Account - or the Younicycle Server Package.
8)  What is the distinctive difference between the 3 Plans, "Database & Reports", "Sitebuilder & CMS" and "Pro Developer"?The Database & Reports allows you to work internally within account, without direct display of created content to the 'web' (public facing) content.  More intensive data operations are possible, in addition to creation of PDFs. The plan includes some powerfull database management and reporting tools. The Sitebuilder & CMS allows you to develop, manage content & work internally with the goal of producing content that faces the public.  SEO and other management Tools are available that are suited to the 'public facing' goal. The plan includes some database management, web site content management and rich SEO tools. The Pro Developer gives you the power and flexibility of both plans, to include the Shared Space Package

9)  Is Younicycle Server Package open source ?Yes. Much of Younicycle is GPL. You can go to the download page.  You have to buy a license key for the following items only, that are not under GPL: The Web Site Wizard, Application and Template Editor GYRE, Table Editor, Query Builder.  The preceding require that you have the current vsn of the FlashPlayer installed.
